Pandaful Art—World Tour Exhibition in Chengdu

The giant panda is becoming a global idol and a model for artists. The Pandaful Art-World Tour Chengdu stop put on display 36 pieces of panda-themed works of photography, painting, sculpture and so on by 6 well-known artists from China, France, Germany, Russia and Spain.

Exhibition of Relics about Qianlong Emperor

An exhibition of relics concerning the famous Qianlong Emperor of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), including 119 pieces/sets of works and articles related to Qianlong Emperor—all cultural treasures from the Palace Museum in Beijing—are staged at Chengdu Museum.

TIME CASE

Brit-pop/indie rock band Time Case was formed in October last year and consists of members Nan Quan, Hai Dai, Da Chui and A Ke. The name of the band refers to the reminisce of times bygone.

When Shakespeare encounters Tang Xianzu

2016 has significant meanings for both Chinese and foreign theatres. It marks the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare and Tang Xianzu, the two literature giants of Britain and China. The memorial program will feature lectures and recitations to pay homage to the two great writers.
