Events and Exhibitions to highlight the ICH Festival

The 7th Int’l Festival of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH Festival) is held in Chengdu Oct. 17-22, with various programs including forums, demos and exhibitions on display.
The main venue of the festival, at Chengdu Int'l Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo Park, puts on the stage international exhibitions, traditional art performances, displays and contests of traditional techniques, food festivals, carnivals and many other activities, in which visitors experience the colorful and long-established intangible cultural traditions.
Themed auxiliary programs at 28 sub-venues of the festival around Sichuan, the record high in number and size, are carried out at the same time.
A number of intangible cultural heritages exhibitions are put on during the period at museums in Chengdu.

Heavenly Hands: Contemporary Revival of Traditional Craftsmanship
Time: Sept. 27-Nov. 20
Venue: Chengdu Museum
The exhibition puts on show over 90 handicraft items from 16 intangible cultural heritage inheritors and 10 young artists.
Autumn Art – Mountain Shu Kiln Autumn Works Exhibition
Time: since Sept. 26
Venue: venue in Pujiang County
This exhibition showcases the pottery works by national masters, artists and villagers from Mountain Shu Kiln and Mingyue Village.
Paper Dialogues – Denmark @Jinsha
Time: late October
Venue: Chengdu Jinsha Site Museum
The exhibition will highlight the Danish paper-cutting master Karen Bit Vejle.
Int'l Traditional Crafts Exhibition
Time: Oct.17-22
Venue: Chengdu Int'l Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo Park
As one of the sub-exhibitions of the ICH Festival, the exhibition highlights 900 ICH items from near 35 countries.
10 tourist routes to 40 spots for the ICH experience are officially launched in Chengdu during the period of the ICH Festival.
