The third Spring Outing activity of Gochengdu Gusto members brought them to Qionglai City in western Chengdu, where the 18 members from the US, Canada, Sweden, Spain, Holland, Korea and Indonesia had an unforgettable tour to Daliang Chateau and Pingle Ancient Town.
Daliang Chateau, with a theme of the Baijiu (Chinese liquor) culture, is one of the top-10 Nongjiale (Farm Fun facility) in Chengdu. Amazed at the sight of hundreds of big wine jars there, the members tasted the Baijiu from the cellar and learned about the making technique of the strong liquor.
They had fun at Pingle Ancient Town, which has a history of more than 2,000 years, drifting on the bamboo raft along the Baimo River while watching the picturesque sights around.
The program ended with the visit to the porcelain-bodied bamboo-woven ware shop. The porcelain-bodied bamboo-woven ware is one of the city’s intangible cultural heritage items.

Spring Outing in Pengzhou: Picking Tea and Vegetarian Diet
Ecological experience was the keynote of the Spring Outing activities in Pengzhou City, where the members of Gochengdu Gusto had fun picking tea leaves at a large tea plantation, watching and getting involved in the tea processing, and tasting organic vegetarian foods.
