Most museums in Chengdu have reopened and some temporary exhibitions suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic will be extended.
Two temporary exhibitions titled Paestum: A City of the Ancient Mediterranean and Special Exhibition of Cultural Relics Seized by Chengdu Customs respectively will be extended to May 10. The former displays 134 cultural relics unearthed from the archaeological site park in Paestum in Italy, and the latter showcases artworks seized by Chengdu Customs District, PRC.
The exhibition featuring 94 original prints by over 40 western master artists collected by Arthur M. Sackler Museum of Art and Archaeology at Peking University, will run until May 24.
The exhibition titled Culture Communication in the Buddhism Statuary Art will be extended to this summer holiday.
Jinsha Site Museum
The exhibition at Jinsha Site Museum featuring the royal ceremonies and court life in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) will last till June 14.
