57th Chengdu Chrysanthemum Show
2019.10.25 - 2019.11.24
People's Park
The 57th Chengdu Chrysanthemum Show is being staged at the People's Park, showcasing over 200,000 pots of flowering chrysanthemum of more than 800 species, and 8 theme attractions formed by the plant.
In traditional Chinese culture, chrysanthemum, one of the top ten famous flowers in China (the others are plum blossom, peony, lotus, rosa chinensis, azalea, camellia, orchid, osmanthus fragrans and narcissus), is likened to a recluse since it braves the cold weather in its blooming season in late autumn and early winter. China has a more than 3,000-year history of chrysanthemum cultivation.
