Werner Baertschi, a pianist acclaimed as a national treasure of Switzerland, will give a solo piano concert in Chengdu on Apr. 8. The 67-year-old pianist is popular among young piano learners and their parents across the world for his amiable countenance, unique aesthetic intuition and interactive performance.
Werner Baertschi's performance is not limited to certain inherent rules. "He plays old music in new ways," said many critics. Therefore, Werner Baertschi is called Grandpa Magic Finger. At the concert in Chengdu, he will play musical masterpieces composed by Beethoven, Bach, Haydn, Chopin and Schumann.
