CPAFF-themed Tianfutong Cards Issued

Chengdu Tianfutong Financial Services Co., Ltd on May 15 issued commemorative bus/metro cards for the ongoing Chengdu Panda Asian Food Festival (CPAFF).
The cards have chosen a chubby panda, the official mascot of CPAFF, as the theme pattern, with bright red as the background color, which is dubbed as "Douban Red" by local people.
Douban, or bean paste, is regarded as the "Soul of Sichuan Cuisine", which is made from fermented broad beans, chili, Sichuan peppercorns and various spices. With mouth-watering fragrance, it tastes spicy and salty and is widely used in cooking Sichuan dishes.
The first issuing has a limited number of 2,000 cards, each priced at RMB30, on sale from May 16 at five outlets in downtown Chengdu.
