City’s Foreign Trade Volume Reaches RMB580 Bln in 2019

Latest statistics released by Chengdu Customs show the city realized a total foreign trade volume of RMB580 billion in 2019, a year-on-year increase of 16.9% and accounting for 86.1% of Sichuan Province's total.

 

 

The city saw a great growth of trade volume with ASEAN and EU countries. The trade value between Chengdu and ASEAN countries reached RMB122.45 billion, increasing 20.6% from the previous year. While that between Chengdu and EU countries hit RMB122.43 billion, up 36.5% year on year.

 

The imports and exports between Chengdu and countries and regions along the Belt and Road increased continually with a total trade volume of RMB171.42 billion, rising 23% year on year. The growth rates between Chengdu and Vietnam, Israel and Singapore were 44.9%, 21.1% and 28.6%, respectively.

 

Among the total foreign trade volume, 75.4% was from foreign companies and 18.3% from private businesses.
