Four museums in Chengdu are showing their appreciation of all the Chinese traditional culture enthusiasts by offering discounted admission. Visitors will enjoy 50% off the regular-price admission to the museums during the period from Nov.27, 2017 to March 6, 2018.
The four major museums in Chengdu are Wuhou Shrine Museum, Du Fu's Thatched Cottage Museum, Jinsha Site Museum and Yongling Museum, all of which are main tourist attractions in the city, known for their historical and cultural values. They will have a series of themed activities during the period.
All the museums said that they will update facilities in order to provide better service for the visitors during the period.
Wuhou Shrine Museum
China's most famous historical site of the Three Kingdoms Culture. The museum houses various historical relics and is a hot spot for visitors from around the world, especially fans from eastern Asian countries.
Wuhou Shrine Museum will host a temple fair and an exhibition of the relics of the Han and Tang dynasties.

Du Fu's Thatched Cottage Museum
Du Fu's Thatched Cottage Museum is an institution built at the site of the former residence of Du Fu (712-770) in honor of the great poet. The museum has a number of memorial buildings and a large collection of relics and various editions of Du Fu's poems, making it a must-visit place for people interested in the traditional Chinese culture.
The museum will host a series of events to pay homage to the poet and traditional culture.

Jinsha Site Museum
Located in the northwest urban Chengdu, the museum houses relics unearthed at the site dating back to about 3,000 years ago, believed to have great importance about the history of the Shu Kingdom of ancient times.
The site will host several relics exhibitions during the period from now to the Spring Festival.

Yongling Museum
Yongling is the mausoleum of Wang Jian (847-918), who founded the Kingdom of Former Shu (907-925) during the chaotic "Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms" period (907-967), and located his capital in Chengdu. Yongling was built in 918 after Wang Jian died, excavated in 1942, and announced in 1961 as a cultural relic site under the national protection.

What's more, Liu's Manor Museum, along with other four scenic spots of the city will offer free entry on a special day of December.
Specifically, Liu's Manor Museum is to offer free admission on Dec. 5, Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding on Dec. 25, Qingcheng Mountain on Dec. 25, the Dujiangyan Irrigation System and Chengdu Zoo on Dec. 25.
