Laojun Mountain老君山

Just about a one-hour drive from downtown Chengdu, Xinjin County is one of the best places for an autumn outing and mountain climbing. As a Daoist sacred site, the Laojun Mountain in Xinjin is highly recommended as a good place for a family outing at weekends since the mountains are not very tall, suitable for people of all age groups.

Yinghua Mountain蓥华山

Located in Deyang City, about 98 km from Chengdu, the Yinghua Mountain attracts people to watch the sunrise and clouds, see Buddha's light and view the colorful wild flowers. There is also a site in the mountain for camping.

Wawu Mountain瓦屋山

Wawu Mountain located in Meishan City is some 200 km away from downtown Chengdu and a famous destination for viewing the splendid colorful leaves. The area boasts diversified vegetations, including the rare Dove Flower (Davidia involucrate) and azaleas.

Fengqi Mountain凤栖山

Located in the northwest of Chongzhou City, Fengqi Mountain is about 75 kilometers away from downtown Chengdu.
With lush vegetation, the mountain is especially beautiful in autumn when the leaves begin to change colors, making it an ideal place for admiring the multi-colored mountain sights.
As it is not far from the well-known Jiezi Ancient Town, you can visit both places in one day.

Zhaogong Mountain赵公山

Zhaogong Mountain is located in southwestern Dujiangyan City, about 68 km away from downtown Chengdu. The scenic area is acclaimed for its diversified geological and natural landscapes, lush vegetation and ethnic cultural resources.

The place was named after Zhao Gongming, the God of Wealth in the ancient Chinese mythology, and there is a temple dedicated to Zhao Gongming.
