An 8-year-old panda named "Qi Fu" at Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding gave birth to twin cubs on July 14.
Giant panda "Qi Fu" at Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding gave birth to a pair of twin cubs on July 14. The male cub weighed 175.2 grams and the female cub weighed 72.2 grams. Both the mother and the cubs are in good health. The twins were the 6th born this year at the panda base.
The arrival of more baby pandas's is expected in the second half of the year as giant pandas entered their birth season currently. Usually Giant Pandas mate in spring and give birth in autumn, especially in the period from August to September.
