CBRE, a world-leading commercial real estate company, released January 21 a report which looks back at Chengdu’s real estate market in 2018 and forecasts it in 2019. It shows that the city ranked 19th in the world by the penetration rate of international brand in the past year.
According to the report, last year Chengdu attracted an ever increasing number of top brands from home and abroad, showing a worldwide investment spree in the retailing of brands in the city. Having become a mature commercial retail market in China, Chengdu has become the first stop of international brands to venture into inland China. And it leads the country in the development of commercial real estate, thanks to its robust economic growth, large population, favorable geographical position and local people's strong awareness of consumption.
