Chinese, Egyptian Singers Make a Splash in City

On August 4, as part of the 4th Arabic Arts Festival, “Songs from the Nile River”—Chinese and Egyptian Singers’ Concert took center stage in Chengdu.
At the event, together with Chinese artists, 5 Egyptian musicians headed by Ms. Iman Moustafa, an award-winning soprano from the Cairo Opera House, sang lovely melodies, which amazed all Chengdu audience on the scene.
Ms. Moustafa, who came to the city for the first time, noted that she had longed for the performance before the concert. "The music industry in Chengdu, a city with a long history, develops very well. I offered to attend the Arabic Arts Festival, and I hope to invite more Chinese singers to put on their shows in my home country," she said.
