Enjoy National Day Holiday in Chengdu

China’s National Day holiday is coming soon. The city of Chengdu launched a celebration in its close neighbors Chongqing and Xi’an,which is themed enjoying the week-long holiday in the Sichuan’s provincial capital.
Chongqing
The event was started in the municipality September 13 and local participants were offered free maps of Chengdu and written tips on tours in the city, books on the city's culture and local people's lifestyles by Liu Shahe, a famous Chengdu native writer, as well as gifts featuring Chengdu's culture and folk customs.
The event was led by Chengdu Municipal Commission of Commerce, co-organized by Chengdu Municipal Tourism Administration and Chengdu Culture, Radio and TV, Press and Publication Bureau, and undertaken by Chengdu Media Group.
Extending a warm welcome to Chongqing residents, Chengdu specially designed and presented "Panda Passports," which highlight popular itineraries and attractions in the city.
"There is an old saying goes, 'Chengdu and Chongqing are a family. The two cities have been bonded intimately since ancient times. So it's very natural to invite families and relatives to your home for holidays," said Yin Jian, Deputy Director of Chengdu Municipal Commission of Commerce, when talking about the reasons for choosing Chongqing as the first stop of the event.
Xi'an
Two days later, the event took place again in Xi'an. Kungfu Tea culture, such Sichuan Opera stunts as face changing ... The organizers showed Chengdu's cultural uniqueness and well-known cultural heritage and legacies to local citizens. 8,400 netizens watched the livestream of the event.
