Chengdu Publishes Plan on the New Airport

The blueprint on the new airport of Chengdu was announced on May 15 at the 2015 Airport Cities Asia Pacific Conference held in Chengdu.
According to the plan for the new airport, the airport will have a capacity of an annual passenger traffic of 90 million person-time and an annual cargo throughput of 2 million tons upon the completion of its construction. The new airport, with 6 runways and 4 terminals, will make Chengdu the third city in China to have the second airport, after Beijing and Shanghai.

Chengdu Approved to Build Second Airport

Recently, the State Council and the CPC Central Military Commission approved the construction of a new airport in Chengdu, according to the Chengdu Municipal Development and Reform Commission on January 14.
