Chengdu Provides Free Citywide Wi-Fi Access

Upon the completion of the first phase of i-Chengdu project, a government-led program aimed to offer free Wi-Fi access citywide, local residents can get free, safe and quick wireless access to the Internet in lots of public places.
Up till now, there have been over 15,000 access points (APs) throughout the city, covering coach and bus stations, public libraries, museums, and government affairs service centers, etc. And another 15,000 ones will be deployed in the next three years, to cover all local public places.
Currently, Places with Free Wi-Fi Access Include:
Waiting Areas in Coach and Bus Stations
Public Libraries and Museums
Waiting Areas in Public Hospitals
Administrative Spaces in Government Offices
Government Affairs Service Centers
Exhibition and Convention Centers
Public Parks
Main Tourist Attractions
Key Industrial Parks
Large-scale Farm Produce Markets
