On August 3, Mr. Ivan Scalfarotto, Vice Minister of Economic Development, Italy, signed an agreement with Luo Qiang, Mayor of Chengdu, on the establishment of the Sino-Italy cultural and innovative industry park in the Chengdu Tianfu New Area.
The park will serve the mutual cooperation in culture, innovation, environmental protection, public health services, sustainable development, agriculture, as well as aviation and aerospace. Italian companies will be introduced to engage in the planning and construction of the state-level development zone.
The park will be functioned as a complex for life, work and public services. Italian companies are welcome to offer solutions to the construction and management of the project by participating in the formulation of standards for the park's environmental protection and performance.
"As a major city in western China, Chengdu impresses the world with enviable economic and social development. We look forward to strengthening ties with the great city," said Mr. Scalfarotto.
