Chengdu, Agra Establish Friendly Cooperation Ties

Chengdu and Agra, India signed an agreement on establishing friendly cooperation ties on Dec. 22, 2016.
Agra was the capital of India in Mughal Dynasty. As a tourist city in India, Agra has the famous tourist attraction Taj Mahal. The cooperation between the two cities of Chengdu and Agra will focus on culture and tourism exchange.
The two cities will also develop exchanges in economy and trade, education and e-government affairs and promote collaboration in the private sector.
Chengdu and Sichuan have frequent exchanges with India in recent years. In 2013, Chengdu established the sister-city relationship with Bangalore. In 2015, Sichuan established the friendly city-province relationship with Karnataka.
