The 6th China Internet Audio & Video Convention brought together over 2,000 government departments, broadcasting and TV stations, online streaming service providers, mainstream media and other institutions involving the Internet audio and video industry chain, as well as over 6,000 industry leaders and professionals. 40 plus forums and activities are scheduled to take place during the event, focusing on such hot-button topics as media convergence, innovation of new audio-visual media, application of 5G, VR and AR technologies, and copyright protection of Internet audio-visual contents, etc.

As of June this year, the number of online streaming service users in China had reached 609 million, accounting for 76% of the country's total online users and rising by 74.5% in five years; that of mobile phone users had amounted to 578 million, surging 345% in five years; and, with an explosive growth, the short-video market users had hit 594 million.
