Find an excuse to enjoy Chengdu’s heat and celebrate together, dancing to great music with like-minded people at CapitaMall Tianfu!
Created in 1982 by Jack Lang, French Minister of Culture at the time, the Music Day is a large, free and popular festival dedicated to all types of music – from jazz to pop and rock, classical music and world music – that has been a great success since its inception.
The festival is now celebrated in more than 100 countries across five continents. There are over 450 participating cities worldwide, many of which have joined up with Chinese cities in the last eight years.
Every year the French consulate in Chengdu invites great bands from France to join the stage with local artists.

Ghost of Christmas
This year, from June 23 to 24, has a total of 10 bands, 2 from France and 8 from Chengdu. Two groups new on the French scene will show up this year: Ghost of Christmas and Clé a Vincent. Fresh young French and Chinese talents will come together for a series of free, large-scale concerts.
