The website of www.gochengdu.cn is soliciting photos from WORLDWIDE for the Focus on Chengdu Photo Contest representing Chengdu of today, as a city that combines modernity and traditions.
And what is the city like in your eyes?
A city of tasty foods?
A city of creativity and entrepreneurship?
A city of agreeable living environment?
Or something else?
Chengdu, in Sichuan province in southwestern China, is the City of Gastronomy named by UNESCO, and China's Best Tourist City named by China National Tourism Administration (now Ministry of Culture and Tourism) and World Tourism Organization.
It is also an exemplary city in China that combines quality life, traditions and modern fashions, a city of creativity and economic vitality, and a place of memories and new marks.
The website of www.gochengdu.cn launches the Focus on Chengdu Photo Contest, which starts today and will last till October 1, to collect photos globally that will give a glimpse of the city of Chengdu of the past, today and into the future.
The organizer of the contest, www.gochengdu.cn, welcomes photos of all sorts (taken with cameras, smart phones or other apps), with different styles, and from people from all walks of life across the world that represent Chengdu in all aspects. The entries will be collected, selected and used to promote the image of Chengdu, and to be publicized on exhibitions online and offline, as well as to be published.
All the photos recording the aspects of Chengdu, on people, scenery, life foods, moments, culture and lifestyles, and so on, are welcome.
The best entries for the contest, evaluated by experts and professionals, will be given the top prize (1), second prize (2), third prize (3) and recommendation (14). They will be exhibited at the fourth anniversary ceremony of www.gochengdu.cn in early November this year, with the descriptions of the author, title, event and relevant information of each of them attached.

Requirements:
All the participating photos are required to give an aspect on the life, culture and natural landscapes of Chengdu as to promote the image of Chengdu.
