To counter the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, the Chengdu Customs adopted 22 policies to help local foreign trade businesses overcome various obstacles and difficulties caused by the epidemic on February 19. The measures, including improving its effectiveness of supervision, promoting production capacity of businesses, optimizing the management and improving the development of local processing trade industry, aim to facilitate the production resumption of local foreign enterprises and companies, as well as maintain and promote the increased openness of the local economy.

According to relevant statistics, in 2019, the export and import volume of the Chengdu Hi-Tech Comprehensive Bonded Zone reached RMB433.01 billion, up 23% year on year and accounting for 64% of Sichuan's total. As the only zone of its kind with the gross foreign trade volume exceeding RMB400 billion in China, the CDHT Comprehensive Bonded Zone topped nearly 100 of its Chinese counterparts for 21 consecutive months.

By March 4, 26 out of the 27 production-oriented enterprises in the zone had resumed production.
