IWGA President José Perurena said that Chengdu, having successfully hosted the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games this summer, has a solid foundation to host the World Games. He said that he and his colleagues have inspected several planned sporting venues, with the quality of these venues bring highly satisfactory.

 

 

Perurena made the remarks on the sideline of the First Competition Managers Meeting of the TWG 2025 Chengdu held from Oct 24 to 25. During the meeting, representatives from various entities including the General Administration of Sport of China, IWGA, the Chengdu municipal government, international sports federations, international broadcasters, as well as the organizing committee and domestic sports associations involved in the preparations for the 2025 World Games, engaged in fruitful exchanges and discussions.
